perm, perming, permed!

After much consideration of dye-ing or perming, i decided to perm my hair!

I went to the Kelly salon or something (i forgot) near my place and looked for this particular hairstylist my friend recommended. I had no idea at all what kind of perm i wanted so i basically let him do everything and zone out. Lol.

My straight, straight hair that he insists that i have rebonded and instigating that perhaps i forgot i did? Haha. But its gone now :(

I paid an extra $30 dollars for this tiny tube (size of mini portable eye-mo) of lotion that the hairstylist suggested to put on my hair before and after the perm "so that the perm can hold longer" Oh and extra $30 since i decided to perm my hair on a weekend when its cheaper on a weekday and so frigging near my house. :/

I got strapped on to this ridiculous looking machine that was so hot, i thought i was getting a sunburn. No need for FabulousTan anymore, eh Rain? Haha. In fact, it looked so weird, i was scared :(

It was an endless process of applying, waiting, washing, waiting, curling, waiting etc. A timer was even used for the intervals. Baby waited through out.

HAHA. Sorry dear, i know it's long.

He's trying to fake looking un-tired. It kind of worked too. Tee-hee.

The curlers were taken out after 20minutes and me complaining that im gg to die of heatstroke. This is me, Ah Ma style. The hairstylist even reminded me to take photos of myself because i look oh-so-nice -.- I told him that my hair's fine now, and he dont have to continue anymore. Haha.
After washing again, i can see my hair looking semi-decent. At 1 point, both the male hairstylists were drying my hair for me together. Im like some bigtime starlet being waited on by these men. HAHA.
3 hours + and 200 dollars later, my hair's finally done.

I even bought this cream that the hairstylist was using for my hair as it smelled really sweet, like candy! I absolutely adore fruity/candy scents! Moreover, it looked like a brand i have seen on Cleo or sth.

Bed Head! At the sides, it actually says "You must have a sense of humor to use our products." I know, its awfully cute right. Wait till you smell it. ~~No wait i have already asked my friends to smell my hair HAHA~~ I tried to figure out whats that smell and i said SMARTIES out loud -.- Sheesh. But its not la Smarties is choco, not candy. My hair creme smells like....

Skittles! REALLY! It is like 95% skittles smelling to me ok. I love it! and the person who bought Skittles for me too (:

Thanks hun, for accompanying me through the tedious process. "We'll taste and see many more rainbows together." Im sure we will too (: *chewing awaying happily.

new paths?

I've been a lil busy recently, i know, with what right? Since im only working part-time and bumming the rest of my time away.

Somehow these 2 days i had more stuff to do.. If everything falls through nicely, Im going to have to give up my bumming days soon. Human's weird. When we're too free, we complain and seriously wonder if i am serving any purpose. But as we think of getting busy, we complain too as we want our relaxation time and such. Oh well. I've had 5months of bumming after graduating, only working a bit here and there and sleeping late, waking up late and partying. I should hope to get my proper full-time job sooon.

Im feeling great one moment and sad another. I submitted 3 resumes to 3 companies that i liked, only 1 of which put up an ad in JobsCentral. Surprisingly, all 3 replied asking for an interview almost immediately. Im afraid to get the jobs, afraid to not get the job. Darn it. Planning my time's a bitch too. Let's hope everything turns out perfectly ~~though i have no idea what the perfect outcome should be~~ .

Meanwhile, i heard 1 line of this song earlier in the day at Heeren. Finally figured out that it used to be 1 of my blog videos in my old blog. It's called Illegal by Shakira. You would have probably not heard of it before as it's a low-key song and not on the charts. That's what makes it nice (:

CO, shoplift, 7-11

Hi blog! ...

I caught somebody shoplifting from "my" shop a few days back! :( ? (: That was actually a normal day at work, with the girls and i going crazy in the shop. Oh actually, i think that particular day was crazier with the hmm... 6-7 girls doing the night shift. Working with Fidah has always been fun because she is just like me (and ching and my bunch of girlfriends for that matter). She gets all the jokes and do all...

lame things with us (as you can tell). That night, i learnt that we were not allowed to play our own CDs anymore (goodbye take a bow, bye bye etc etc) and can only play the CO discs. Seriously, i wonder who choose the songs fer our monthly discs because the songs are actually new and nice. They have the TINGTINGS! too! (points towards video on left and click on e triangular button facing the right) Soon i got them all mad with lust over the song too and Nana started a dance in e fitting room. (Actually i wasnt in e mood to blog now but i played the song and i feel silly all over again. the song just has that effect laaaaaaaaaa. Its super cute. LOL) Nana, whom is a ultra pretty and stylish girl with nice makeup, started hopping left, right then faster leftrightleftright. Heads bobbing plus funny expression on face too. Fidah joined in. Then me. and we kept going on till customers notice us/or we cant hold back our laughter any longer then we stop. Hehs. I think i went crazy over Avril's Best Damn Thing and Fergie's Labels or Love too. *coughs*

So the night was wild enough but i was still (not surprisingly okay) doing my job well at the fitting room. Yes. we're back to the shoptheft topic. This malay lady rushed into 1 of the rooms with a handful or clothes in her arms and i was kind of suspicious so i stopped her.

Reasons for suspicion:
- typical customers will peep around and say "erm, got room?" and wait for me to tell them which to go to but she was like urgently running for the toilet
- she was carrying a bigg bag
- 3 Secondary School malay girls stole clothes while i was at the fitting room before and i didnt manage to stop/catch them in time! :((( so i told myself not to let that happen again and i have to be sure of the no. of items customers bring into the rooms.
- gut feeling?

I counted her clothes and it was around 7-8 pieces so i let her take 6 in since the maximum was 6. When she went in, my friend (Eve) said it looks more than 4 pieces (since that day was crowded and we said 4 was the max.) so i explained that i let her take 6. Then, i went to the storage room to drink water with her, back facing the fitting rooms. The girl came out and left quickly. Thankfully, Eve told me "eh the 6-piece girl come out already" and immediately, i rushed out to the fitting room again.

Then, i saw her. Just 1 rack of clothes away, pretending to look at a guy's shirt for 3seconds, and proceed to STUFF THE CLOTHES SHE TRIED ON EARLIER INTO HER BAG! She had difficulty stuffing them in and was really pushing hard, doing it just paces away and in view from the fitting room -.-" She did not even double check to see if i have returned (probably thought i was chatting away) or try to walk further away to stuff the clothes. She then took out her handphone and pretended to talk on the phone, making her way out. I ran to tell Eve (manager-in-training) and she ran to tell our manager. Trailing the lady till she was definitely out of the shop (in case she said she hasnt walked out and sld not be considered stealing), our manager stopped her. I heard that she was saying a lot of sorrys and asked if she could pay for the clothes. But our manager was insistent and called the guards.

Pretty Nana stayed with her while the guards make their way over and she asked her "eh why you do that sia?" and she replied ... .... ... ... "i dunno... stress la... my bf..." We all thought it was a totally stupid reason to shoplift and i was glad to have caught her, until i went with the guards and she was crying her eyes out. Later on, 2 policemen came to our shop and took my statement and all and we learnt that she were having family problems as well. Maybe Stress really drives you crazy :( Since she's no longer a teenager (she's 22), she will be facing the normal charges for shoplift. While the policemen were in the shop and we were racking up, the girls went crazy again. I have NO IDEA WHY we were SO high that day. Fidah started saying i will be on the next expisode of crimewatch and i was figuring out loud what i should wear. Probably CO clothes (those that she stole) with a red underwear that says S for Superwoman Shirley. ... Thru all the giggling shouting and many phrases along the line of "you jealous of my fat ass is it?" the policemen wrote a 2 page essay (now that i look at it, 2page is not alot because i used up approx. 6 paragraphs too) of the incident. We all left the shop together with policeman 1 telling policeman 2, "actually the slippers here not bad. $5 only too" and policeman 2 replying "ya next time come when no work".

I felt a teeny bit bad for the girl as it seems like her first time. I would much rather have caught the Sec Sch girls as they are not adults yet (wldnt have a permanent record) but would learn and not continue doing silly things like this when they grow up. Oh well. Anyway i get a $50 CO voucher for nabbing a thief so erm, its good to do justice? :x I didnt know bout the voucher before it but i somehow doubt it will come because such things tend to get dragged... hmm.

Anyway, working at CO is fun and crazy most of the time i guess and we are like a family (: ~~But at other times, i really feel like quitting.~~ We have around 20 staff but i only manage to get some of our pictures. So...

Tadah! The photo with just 2 of us is me with Yana, my size 6 friend (: She likes to say "look at that skinny girl carrying the ladder" to me when she is of the same size as me! She's Nana's best friend and stylish like hell too (: We can talk like there's no tomorrow. Lol.

3 nights ago, i had a bonding session with Sofia too (: That's her below.

Oh it's now worse? Sheesh, you're hard to please. Tee-hee. These were taken be Bee's handphone on that night while we sat outside 7-11 :x Sofia stayed with me at Mcs (super sweet of her) while i was waiting to meet Bee at BBatok and she went "feel like drinking sia" and i was like "eh me too" and we both stood up together with a "let's go!" Haha. RubyGrapefruit Barcadi is Love (not labels, no) and we chatted till i presuaded hao peng you Bee to come down. And we somehow managed to sat there with bottles of Hooch, cup noodles and junkfood till 5am. We talked our hearts out and cabbed home together. (: I love wonderful friends (:

I guess it's a rather lengthy entry so i shall stop. soon. Tee-hee. I just realized Ching is not in the collage :x I love these people i've known from CO ~~but i know it will be hard to keep close after quitting right?~~ . All righty, im gg to talk to my boy on the phone now. Bye! (:

Sushi dinner

Im making an effort to blog everyday. i think you can tell when im blogging with a few pieces of Sushi. HAHA.

but now with my new blog i feel excited to blog each time an incident happens. Actually, i tend to view things when they happen as how it would appear in my blog. Like when i walk along cityhall with my friends, the phrases for blogging will come straight to my mind. Like a constant novelist working in my mind. Ok maybe i turned weird after blogging for so many years -.- ~~maybe you dont even understand what im saying.~~ haha.

I popped by Lot 1 today as i had something up my sleeve for baby. Tee-hee. And since im having dinner for myself and dread proper food (i always dread proper food), i bought Sushi!

Sushi is very sly (i cant think of the other word to use... misleading? nono). It looks so little but is indeed very filling. I ate all those excluding the fish roe? and the 2 cute lil ones at the bottom right because i was *gasp* too full! And stop asking me to grow fatter because i already have :/ its true la stop giving me e incredulous wa-you-fat-then-i-what look and proceed to ask another friend to slap me awake. i said i grew fatter, not grow FAT. and i like more meat on my face, just not on my tummy.

messed up blogskin in IE

ARG. Im having a preview error for this blog. I use Internet Explorer and the background curly-thing is half gone! It works fine in Mozilla but i want it to work fine in both! and i use Internet Explorer anyway. :((((((((

I removed the thing that i wanted to put in but its still e same. damnitttttt. Does my blogskin look messed up in your Internet Explorer too? And how to reverse it back? Let me know. Please? :(

Postnote at 520pm: Phew. Its now settled after i went into photobucket again. but dont know whats e actualy problem really. just hope it doesnt happen again each time i add sth into my blogskin. freaked me out a little. hehs. shall go and do some other stuffs first (:

Balloon-nominations & job interview

Balloons Balloons! And they fly~! I absolutely adore balloons filled w helium altho their shelf life is not long (: This was an unexpected surprise that was sent to my shop (workplace) 2 days back. It happened like this.

Sofia (1 of the managers-in-training) walked into e fitting room w a bunch of 8 balloons (i know you onli see 4 nw. be patient!)...

Me: Wow! How come got balloons? For the shop right? Whats e occasion? Or... for me! (joking)

Sofia: Yes it's for you! And Rain!

Me: huh???

Sofia thrusts the delivery slip with a card that has my name. It looks like this:

I have been nominated for what? "Casual of the month" I was actually thinking is it because i dress very casually for work -.- Rain was really surprised beside me too. Just then, our Regional Manager was beside and said (in his thick Australian accent), "it means part-timer (:" Sooooo... i was nominated for best part timer of the month. And they sent us balloons to let us know! How sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet! Just when i was thinking i would be quitting the job soon. Now i would feel like its wrong for me to quit after they nominate me for sucha thing. but i love e company n our head-in-charge and all but some of the other staff are.....

Isnt the company and our regional manager so sweet? tee-hee. i didnt realize im such a good worker ~~what with the little shifts i have~~ . :/ Anyway i chose the 4 that has e red n turquoise balloon of course and Rain chose e 1 with Blue. Perfect! (: As i finished my noon shift and waited for my bf to pick me up, i started taking pictures of the balloons that were stuffed in 1 dressing room. 1 that was already filled with our cartons of stock :x

Baby came and i grabbed my balloons happily to meet him. Before that, i met Yin for a toilet trip together since she was working at NewYork2 tt day too. lol. Then my bf helped Rain and i take a picture when the big boss has left.

There, there's Rain (: (Is it just me, or do my balloons look smaller than hers? lol.) Happy happy us :D Being so happy, i decided to share my balloons w my lifesize teddy. Don't you think he has a very Christmassy feel? (maybe cause of the santa hat i gave him)

Okay that's enough elaboration on my 4 balloons. Hehs.

Apart from my happiness at work, i've finally started searching for a proper job. I sent in 1 resume 2 nights ago and received a call in e morning asking for an interview. It was for the position of "Dance Instructor for children". It seems SO exciting. my 2 love in 1 job. and they sounded like they really wanted me. THEN, they dropped the bombshell on e phone.

"The interview will be in e East side, because the opening is for the East branch at East Coast Road, is that alright w you?"

I said i would go ahead w the interview first but called them up to change the interview to Saturday (since i will be headed East then). The Caucasian manager said to change it to Monday then if icant meet it on Friday. Then i told her that East location is a problem actually. (I found out it takes a train ride of about 22 stops and another bus of 23 stops to get there). and told her i will think about it and tell her by Monday. How now brown cow? :( I do not have a car. And i would need to leave home 2 hours early for work each day and travel a looong way home after a hard days work too. Besides, the company happens to be 1 where my friend is working as Asst. Gym instructor for e kids. and she doesnt reccommend me to join as she is trying to get out of it already :x but i figured asst. gym instructor is different from dance instructor?

Anyway, i totally cannot decide. its 4am on a Sunday now. This feeling scuks. I also found out that most of the kids entertainment venues are in the EAST. oh btw, i stay in e very WEST. Im looking a full-time job with children (as i have a Diploma in Early Childhood) but not teaching. It is VERY hard to find the job. And now that i have found 1, it's in the East.

Help? :( Let me know if there are any jobs like what i mentioned okay. I would love you for it. Not as much as my boyfriend though (: Im gonna blog about my Birthday celebrations like really soon okay? This entry is easier so i did this first. It's supposed to be a short entry thats why.

Getting to know me (& them) more.

Hello! Since this is a new blog, i shall introduce myself a wee bit more. Actually more of introducing the important people in my life. & through them, i guess you'll see more of me too (: MY brief intro is on e left anyway (:

First up, My dearest family!

Okay, quit laughing at the photo of my brother and i as kiddos. You were like that too once remember? My brother is the one i look up to and taught me (i think still teaching :x) how to be independent. He's e best brother ever, my friends would know all the nice things he's done fer me (: Needless to mention, my parents are the best in e world too. Yours will come second okay. Haha.

Next up, my favourite boy! (:

He's definitely a big part of me (my life) and not to worry, you'll get many many glimpses of him in my blog. We've been together for a year and 4 months and still counting on (with our secret counter at e head of his bed). Hehs. He's working part-time retail just like me now, but he's waiting fer NS. NOoooooo! Let me keep deluding myself that maybe next few months they will start a "No-More-NS-Needed" policy ya?

Then, my crazy bunch of besties/ hao peng yous!

This is the clique without Jason. Sorry i couldnt find a nice recent picture of all of us since i dn have my birthday photos from Bee's cam yet (: Speaking of whom, he would be enlisting today w Kee :( Ching's bf, Kelvin (also from my workplace) enlisted 2 days ago. Hence we would have 1 guy left standing, which is Khoon. His would be in September. After that, i think our outings will be more of Girls Night Out already. But that would be fun too since we had 1 recently... x) Oh yeah, they're all from my Secondary School (Bukit View. like you know where?) and the girls and i were in e same class for Sec 1 & 2. Apart from Ching that is, because we were in e same class all e way. Same poly and same workplace after that. This whole group is called 17385, which explains the code that is constantly on our msn nick. We would only know what it means. HAHA. I meet up with 'em whenever possible and our outings are always out of this world. I meet the girls a tad more frequently tho, especially Bee to talk and just chill nearby (: To add on to MY intro, Im working part-time at Cotton On Lot 1 (i actually typed Lot 2 accidentally -.-) now. Yin's working at New York New York at Lot 1 too. hehs.

Follow up, my poly clique!

Not including our 3 better halves in the picture of course. We're from Early Childhood so of course there aint much guys in our clique. The 7 of us, that i've just found out Xiaoxiao (real name Yenyi) calls us e 7 flowers. Her nickname is given on e drunken night along Clarke Quay, a place that has a lot of stuffed alligators. The 4 of us that meet up more often and make up my closer clique since Year 1 would be Sarah, Nique and Ange. We all stay in different parts of Sg (lol) but we meet up often too (:

There are more people in my life like my dance friends, my centre kids, my work family and so on but those you'll just have to read up and find out slowly. To know me better, of course you should link to my old blog at http://shirhurt.blogspot.com/ . Its been my companion for the past 4-5 years. With a heavy heart, i moved over. All because of a silly address i gave myself in 2004. Nah, also because a new start is good. Since im starting a new path and all (which im not sure what) I will copy and feature some of my more interesting entries in this blog when i have the time though. I have been slacking since e start of February, after my last project was handed in. I didnt get into the local degree course of my choice (Sociology/Arts n Social Science) and since i only put 1 choice, i didnt get into anywhere else. Im probably working for awhile before i try again next year or go for a private degree if my funds allow.

With that, im done with my not-so-short introductions. I cant wait to see how the entries turn out with photos now that my blog space is bigger. I have been searching for a skin and editing it since almost a year ago! Oh the way i procrastinate. I edited a lot from the original blogskin to get exactly what i want. Okay la now you know im longwinded too. Bye! (:
