Yin's birthday, ECP stayover and GirlsNightOut again

Heya. It's been awhile since i blogged about something proper. I have been rather busy recently but im still intending to keep this blog alive! (:

It was SweeYin's birthday a few days back! Bee, Ching and I (the 3 working ladies. gosh, how time flies) headed down to Bugis after work to carry out our surprise plan with her poly friends. We bought a cake, lighted the candles few shops away :x and walked into Pastamania as she was eating with her friends.

Bee went "SWEEYIN!!!" crazily loud and everyone looked over. Then we burst out into the happy birthday song for her. Teehee. She was really surprised and im so glad we went down though only 3 of us could make it. We had some lousy pastamania food that day :x then went for a walk along Bugis with her friends before heading home. (:

Last night, Bee, Yin and I had a bbq at East Coast Park! It was actually a proper celebration and surprise fer Yin but due to some circumstances, only the few of us could be there too. Nonetheless, Chenmin (now slimmed down and became super pretty. hehs) came and Bee's family was there to celebrate her cousin's birthday too. I went there only after work so by the time i reached it was real late already. We took a drive in Chenmin's car to catch some latenight action at faraway parking lots. HAHA. "Newspaper are useful, eh?" After Chenmin left, we bbq-ed a lil and cycled out to get more mixer for our Vodka. By the time we got back to our area to drink and rest, it was 430am. Some junkfood, alcohol, music and nonsense later, Bee and I fell asleep! It was soooooo frigging cold la! Regret that i didnt bring my tent! Yin went to watch the sunrise and we woke up at 630am. We waited till 830am for the bicycle rental shop to open to return our bicycles (all together we rented 9?). Bee, Yin and i only rode 'em for like 15minutes. (Actually Bee ferried me on the double-bike. hehs.) Sucha waste. When light came, the warmth from the morning sun felt great on my body. Added in some nice music, the morning felt like sucha bliss (:

We cabbed home and i slept till night. All in all, im so glad we proceeded with our plan to stayover at ECP though there only only a few of us plus Bee's family. I would love to do it again in future. No hassles of bbq, just us, takeouts+junkfood, music, mats and a tent in case we want to hide inside. Oh, and our bottle of AbsolutVodka too. Let's do it okay! (:

All right, anyway, i was grumbling that i miss nightlife. I put together the pictures of my last drinking/clubbing session of last month so... (and i dont really like blogging without pictures. We didnt take much photos last night and the few are not with me too that's why.)

    Here you go!

I crowned myself Queen of the night that day. Teehee.

Bee, Yin and I went out for some GirlsTime at ClarkeQuay! (or boatquay?)

After walking around, we almost went in to KandiBar again. We told ourselves nooo not the same place everytime so we kept looking. It was ladies night that day and we saw this crazy signboard outside Lunar.

"Ladies: free entry and 3 free Lychee Martinis"

Of course, we went in. HAHA. Despite the chinese music, I reckoned there was nothing to lose to just go in and take a look right?

We saw somebody worth saluting at the entrace.

    Our free drinks (:

    My pretty girls (:

Oops, we were all Queens that night! (:

    Bee lovesss the picture. Lol.

Surprisingly, Lunar has quite a nice ambience though it was Chinese music. We were saying it would be nice to just meet up after work and simply chill there sometime. We're getting old. HAH. I thought i could go fer Ladies night after work since my fixed day off is Thursday. But frankly, i just feel like heading back to rest after work on Weds. Tsk.

The music and drink made us want to... club. And it was free entry everywhere so we went ahead.

    Pre-clubbing camwhoring:

I look funny here but i think Bee looks very pretty in this picture! The hair and the eyes. nice wor. Bee, dn puke please. Hehs (:

We got on the dancefloor! My ol' hangout (:

In the first picture on the dancefloor, there's this funny guy who seemed to be staring straight into our camera. Lol. We found a comfortable spot beside the DeeJay console and our (SweeYin's) hunk of a Dj. Haha.

Halfway through, we went back to the Ladies' room! More camwhoring!

After dancing till late, we went back to freshen up. As we got ready to leave, the music ended too and we joined the long queue for our bags. As usual, we headed to LiangCourt Mc. We had our Mc breakfast and headed home!

(By the way, I layered my lil' black dress w a tank top so it looks like another dress or even a skirt! Could you tell? haha. Im looking for a nice plain flirty (dont know how to describe) lil skirt that would go well w tank tops and tee shirts. If you know where to get your hands on one, let me know! Since i dont have one, i tried layerng my outfit to achieve the look. Just so you know, i seldom mix and match. Im always wearing just one piece and at most w a vest. That's why the astonishment for myself la. Hehs. Ok this entry is already so obsessed by 3 of our faces, next!)

As you can tell, i dont recall much of the night so go imagine it yourself okay. Haha. All i want to say is, it's always fun with my friends around. Especially my girls. Ching, we missed you too! Cant wait for the next GirlsOuting with you (:

Im lucky to have all of you around fer this 8 years. Loves!

& i hope things turn out fine for us too.

Adjusting and missing the bumming days.

Phew. It has been a tiring few weeks.

Im still trying to adjust to my full-time job at Tumbletots. It's a big leap from a student/entry level job to executive level. Im too used to taking orders and being the child instead of being in-charge with many responsiblities. Right now, im conducting the Gym, Phys.Ed and Music classes daily as well as going for meetings and doing the preparation and admin stuff. Im stressed out quite frequently and leave my workplace late. At least the colleagues are nice people and the children are awfully adorable. But... Please let me adjust comfortably soon!

Upon saying these, im missing my bumming days, chillouts and latenight sessions. At least i get to do my shopping online thanks to LJsprees and other blogshops (: Still, im missing gg town and most importantly, my friends! my 17385! We're supposed to meet up next week and i can but some of us cant then its changed to this week. Now im the 1 who cant make it. So sad :( Dont know when we'll all gather up since the guys are in Army and the rest of us are busy with school and work.

Gahhh~ Im v.distracted w the Tv now and i need to go bathe and meet my boy for dinner at his place. It's my Off Day! Will update again when possible ok? (:

Last words, I miss my nightlife!

    it's 6:30 PM now

20th Birthday with baby -part 1

    The Birthday post part 1!

You see, this is what i hate when i procrastinate blogging about something. Normally i will get the mood back when i upload the photos but there was some problem with my wireless last week so i saved the photos and didnt blog. Now i need to try to get my mood back. lol.

The night before my birthday on the 3rd of July, I met up with baby to go Causeway point for our favourite hawker food. Tee-hee.

Fried Kway Teow from Banquet! Oily sweet and spicy food in the very cold mall! Yummm! After indulging ourselves in unhealthy food, we caught the movie "Hancock"!

(actually i have forgotten whether we caught it that day and all the exact details, with it being 2 months ago :( but lets just take it that it was that day)

The movie was surprisingly nice and i think Will Smith did a great job. The parts where they zoom in on his face and his eyes and mouth really had that wounded sad puppy look. However, i think the turn of events with the wife being a superhero too was kind of abrupt and weird. Anyway, i was trying to find out the month Hancock was aired so that i know for sure i really watched it on the 3rd and found out some interesting bits on Wikipedia.

"Scenes that were removed to garner a rating of PG-13 included a scene of statutory rape,[5] two of three uses of the "f-word" (the MPAA only permitted one use for the PG-13 rating), and intense shots of needles going into arms. Scenes of Hancock shoving a prisoner's head up another's behind and of Hancock having explosive ejaculation during sexual intercourse were allowed, though Berg chose to save the latter scene for the DVD."

Oooh. So the original version was a bit more juicy. Haha. Anyway i went out of point. It was late after the movie so we headed back to my boy's house for tv and supper and a stayover!

We woke up early at around 10am for the ...

Zoo!!! We're going to the zoozoozoo, wont you come tootootoo~! Actually i was up like 8am though i only slept a few hours with baby's snoring. Tee-hee. It was the first few times in 6months that i woke up early and voluntarily. Too excited! I pranced around the room happily waiting for baby to get up and get ready. LOL.

We waited for the bus to Lot 1 to grab some breakfast, then waited for 961 at the bus stop. I took pictures happily and 1 showed my boy yawning in the back. HAHA. Then we reached the Zoo!!!

First thing we saw near the entrance was the cute little mongoose (i think? im too lazy to check at the website and i have forgotten. hehs). They scampered around happily playing with the water. Cute!

The Zookeeper was telling us that you see them at their most mischievious during their eating time. Just then, this mongoose who had just gotten 1 fish jumped up to get another that was meant for his friend. Haha. He had a hard time bringing the 2 fishes back to his spot but he was insistent. Cute right?

Next up, the White Tigers! This made me wonder, for the past 2 times i've been to the Zoo, i have not noticed any normal Orange Tiger. Well, have you? We have a few Lions, 2? They're not the big attraction like the Tigers but still we have them. Hmm.....

Pretty white Tiger. (im just picking the pretty and cute animals that i want to blog about if not this entry will be crazily long)

Say Heep-Po-Po-Teh-Mers! I know i kind of blended in with Mr hippo on the right but photoshop make it look quite different so i didnt save it.

Then, out in the open-air, we saw this! I fergot what its called too but it looked so cute with its front legs knelt down!

Look closer! He bent down with his 2 front legs to eat the plants. Cute right? ( i realized that my vocab is quite limited today what with all the "cute" adjectives) I didnt know they could bent like that. Lol.

The Baboons! (who will now know their names or ever forget them?)

When i first stepped out into this open area with the tons of Babboons, i was FREAKED OUT. On both sides of me, there were baboons so near me yet baby and i were the only 2 Human around. It felt queer, as if they were visiting/watching us instead of us watching them. I was really afraid that they would just jump out and take us away like in the show "Jumanji" T.T

Baby and i quickly made our way to the sheletered area where WE can watch them through glass windows. I felt better immediately! Phew. (DO NOT LAUGH at me! you should try it ok!)

Young to old. The young one still looks kind of cute. I dont know what happened along the way :/ The old ones look kinda gross with their thing hanging out. The even more disgusting part was that they like to stare at us and move that thing up and down. (Im sure Ching knows me very well as 1 baboon stared at her and the white stuff was coming out from his thing the last she time visited. HAHA :x)

A very reluctant boyfriend taking a picture with the not-so-adorable Baboons... Oh wait dear, what's that?!

Some random animal at the top of the mountains/caves (?). Hehs.

    As we strolled and stolled~

    (: (: (:

Beautiful scenary and not forgetting our Orang Utans handing on top of the trees.

This white faced erm, Gibbon? Jumped from one bracn to the other near my face level! A tourist and i thought it was going to prance on us la! Okay, then we made our way to my favourite animal in the Zoo!

Inuka! That's our Polar Bear! Aint he lovable? He looks kind of sad and lonely sometimes that my heart went out to him. His mother, Sheba, was staying inside the air-conditioned area so he was out alone. Im so glad that he's staying in Singapore and not moving to another country after the mother dies (as suggested earlier last year). You could refer to here and here to see what i mean. I love you, Inuka!!! (: (i went back specifically to watch the feeding time though i have already visited him once earlier in the day. hehs.)

Rhino! I kept thinking Rhinoceros are a type of dinosaurs and laughed at myself at for saying the name out loud. But no, they are called Rhinos really! Dont you think they could have escaped from the era of Dinosaurs?

Baby was forced to wear my shades. Yep, these are my shades from Taiwan (:

Now for the Zebras! Do you think Zebra are white with black stripes or black with white stripes? Somehow going to the Zoo made me wonder alot. lol.

Baby wanted to go to the Reptile forest. I was too chicken to go into the caged area but went anyway. I dart glances everywhere and felt my goosebumps all over my body la. We saw a colourful chameleon and i fergot what else (blocking out freaky memories) except this:

Then we went back on safer grounds! I shall forget all about the snakes in the area.

On our way to the Splash! Safari, we saw this Pelican! Beautiful eh? (:

Then my lovely jackass penguins came out for their food. Waddle waddle waddle.

The Manatees and Sealions were the big attraction! I think 1 was called Romeo and knows how to act shy. What they loved to do the most, was to create the Splash! in Splash! Safari. haha. The last sealion loved swimming around the pool quickly then jumping up and using his flippers to splash water onto the audience at the front. i was sitting at the back! Lol.

Tee-hee. It kissed me! I was sad to not be the one chosen to go down and throw frisbees to him (baby didnt want me to volunteer!) so i went down quickly after the show to be the first 20 to be kissed. Hehs. It felt like... Plack! then a bit of wetness den no more. Lol.

On the way out, the White Tiger followed me!

Thankfully for the boyfriend (: :x

He loves the glow-in-the-dark section of the shop. and Yana's going to be working here!

and tadah, that marks the first 3/4 of my birthday at the Zoo! (: Needless to say, we loved it! (:

We went back to our own homes to freshen up for the night event. We're supposed to take the Singapore Flyer!

But... buttt. We rested and by the time we reached the Sg Flyer, the last flight had already started :( We postponed it but haven managed to go fer it yet :(

Still, we made the best of our opportunity!

    We had Popeyes fer dinner!

My first time eating at Popeyes! Their "bun" was so amazing! It tasted just like Hotcakes! and i think their squeeze-on Maple syrup was so cool. Just press and squeeze. hehs.

    Happy me (:

    Happy boyfriend (:

This was the only cake we could get at the cafe beside. At least it's chocolate (:

After a great dinner, it's time to camwhore!

It was one of my best birthdays with you baby. This is our 2nd birthday together and it was just as magical (if not more) as the previous one at the Turquoise Room. However the day turned out, wherever we were and whatever we did, it was just the 2 of us. Felt just like our special time at 9pm. I loved these 2 days and thank you so much for planning it. Hugs.

    Happy 4th of July! (:

ps: im gg to blog about the part 2 and 3 celebrations with friends soon after this okay! Love! (:

    it's 7:15 PM now
