I am currently wondering where my next phase of life will take me. I'm also a UK size 6 whom is perpetually late. I tend to procrastinate altho i dislike it. Im totally jaded about ulcers because of my favourite indulgence in junkfood. I love kids and all things small as midget-sized things are always adorable. So if you decide to like me amidst my weird quirks, i think i'll like you too (:

    Fireworks then Hip Diner's

    Fireworks!

Boom! Ka-boom! Tee-hee. You would have seen this amazing display of fireworks if you were at Esplanade today!

But before these happened, baby and i went to the Sakura and Cityhall fer a quick dinner first. This is a place he raves about like everytime when he was working at R.City.

He insisted that i have to try the Tom-Yum soup and fried rice so we ordered Thai fried rice for me, Chicken fried rice w xtra chilli for him, fried wantons and a bowl of Tom-Yum soup to share.

Imagine a cold cold night and a steaming hot bowl of soup right in front of you. *Slllluuurrrpppp! The luxury, sigh. (did you realize, it's soo cold and rainy every night these days?) I was a bit unhappy with the wantons because its $4 for 10 and they're rather normal. but oh well, i love the sauce. You guys should try the fried wanton + wanton mee behind Bugis man. All right, so i tried my Thai fried rice and Mr boyfriend was adamant that i was going to whine and want his Chicken fried rice instead. I did, at first. However after a few more bites, i loved my Thai fried rice. Especially when you pour a genrerous amount of soup over it. Hehs.

I realized that i just had to take a picture.

Awesome food on a rainy day!

And he mentioned that it was so nice, you could have an orgasm eating it. Hence he was trying to show the reallyreally nice/shiok face with the food.

Then after that, we rushed down to the Esplanade for the yearly fireworks-showcase event (Sorry Bee, Yin and Dong that we didnt join you guys in town!). Today was Korea's showcase. By the time i reached, it was already quite packed and the area nearest to the river (?) was barricade-d.

Thank God for great friends. Ching, Kelvin and 2 other couples were already sitting inside since evening. The best view of the fireworks possible w/o paying the $18 on the other side of the river. Kelvin came in and brought us back w him. It was drizzling and we sat on clean(new) trash bags that they brought (: It was supposed to start at 9pm and we were there around 830pm.

We then had 1 hour of this:

    ...

It was pretty romantic though (: On the other side of the paying crowd, the emcee was getting the crowd hyped up w performances and countdowns. all we saw was a little boat moving around. haha. Ching and i were jesting that maybe Korea would play the Da Chang Jin song as the fireworks are erm, working??

    Then it started!

This one is really pretty, like falling rain.

trying to capture it reaching the water:

and more, more more! It got a little scary as if the fireworks (i was thinking firecracker -.-) were coming nearer downwards at us :x

After half an hour (seriously the time flew by), it ended. And the song playing was "wu la la~ wulala~~~" I hope you dont need me to tell you where that song came from or what it's about. Haha. Now, isnt it pretty? I feel that fireworks is 1 thing you really have to be present to enjoy the beauty of it. No matter how good the camera or television screening, you wont feel the impact as it is happening right in front of you. It was raining at the end but nobody left, just cheered on till the very last spurt of firework. Love it!

Thanks for coming with me since i really wanted to watch it baby (: I know we have more plans to go and we will do them soon (:

    Commercial break.
I was looking for junkfood to eat as usual, and this box of biscuits that my mummy bought caught my eye. She bought it from 1 of those Taiwan fleamarket? nah, just those that they put up at the atrium of some mall. Everything looks fine right?

    .

    .

    .

"It's delicious and crisp. the month overflow with wonderful spice."

    ...

I dont mean to be rude, really. But this is fcuking hilarious la! I took 1 glance and i thought maybe this is a special month biscuit like for mooncake festival and you eat it together or sth... When i looked closer and it means MOUTH. and they were so sure of their English, they decided to put it all over too! Right at the top of the cover!

Lol. Cute right? It reminded me of the first hotel i went to on my Taiwan trip at the start of the year. I went into the bathtub, and on the side it said "Please be Care of Ship and Fall" . Im not lying, you can click on the link back to my old blog for that particular entry. The image of a ship passing by while im in the bathtub is beyond hilarious still. Haha. Anyway i dont mean to be mean la :( Just curious why they want to put the English there when they're not too sure of the words. And to give it justice, the biscuit tasted not bad. But, they were not Spice of course. Haha. And the biscuit DID NOT look lke the picture at all. No chocolate oozing out from the cookie when you bite. Its just a very dark brown color. The whole cookie is made of chocolate already. Sorry i forgot i was supposed to be giving it justice. haha. Please go back a few sentences and read the part about the biscuit being nice again ya?

    End commercial.

(Nope, nobody has ever told me that im random)

    Outing with my favourite Girls!

Bee, Ching, Yin and i met up for some shopping but mainly to chillout together (: You can easily spot us laughing from a mile away. Lol.

We had a loooooooooooong time choosing where to have our dinner. From Taka to Cine, there ewre just too many distracting pit-stops we had to stop by. When we finally reached Cine, We stopped and pondered about whether to eat dinner, again. Then we started chatting in front of every restaurant and forgot our main topic. Haha. We stopped outside Pastamania finally and queued. When it was almost our turn, i asked the barista (or crew), "may i know what's the soup of the day?" and she replied "oh its Minestrone and Tomato sth soup" Obviously the tomato sth is cause i forgot and not what she said. Then all 4 of us turned on our heel and went in search for another restaurant. tsk. We reached this place at the basement of Cine that sells Chicken. I think it's supposed to be Korean? Ya and we finally sat down after talking nonsense with the workers there. We flipped through the menu fer 5 minutes. Then, hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. We stood up, said sorry we changed our mind and went off again. HAH.

Finally finally and the last of all finallys, we settled down at Hip Diner! Tee-hee. (all the fussing was totally worth it)

Yep, this time we're for real. Ching and i ordered the burgers while Yin ordered the seafood stuff and Bee the Fish and Steak.

Our poison for the night! (: *stomach rumbling now as i blog

Oops, i missed our starters! A side of onion rings with fries and their soup of the day, cream of Mushroom! YAY! We added the bread thingy too and it was just fantastiqueeee!

My whopping burger! It's filled with egg, bacon, ham chicken thigh and cheddar cheese! I took out all the veg of course! Nah! Bet you're hungry now!

    view from the side:

YUM. I think this is by far the Best Burger i've ever tasted! The cheese just sticks to everything and melts in your mouth. The chicken thigh is just nice, tender and juicy. The bacon and ham slightly toasted and the eggs! They're wobbly and needless to mention, has 2 sunny side up! Who cares if i dont like egg yolks? *chomp chomp chomp XD

    Halfway through our meal, ...

That's my food on the left and Ching's on the right! Haha. and it was HER idea to take the contrasting picture. My messy eater bestie. Lol. Oh ya, we're the 2 with the really weird eating style. We have to eat everything together like each bite must consist of egg, ham, bacon, chicken, burger... and when we're down to our last bite, every item will have 1 bite of it left. Then, we finish everything and drink the last sip of water we have left and tadah! End of our meal. That's the way to eat man, not fries first or finish 1 then the other. No way. Haha. I dont know if you understand what i mean but if you eat with me often, you'll geddit. Hehs (:

Seriously, i enjoyed that meal so much. Great food, check! Fast service, check (or maybe cause we were busy camwhoring it doesnt matter)! Great music (tts so impt), check! Great location and ambience, check! We continue sitting there fer an exra hour plus and they didnt chase us out too (: We people-watched, talk about anything, sang along to the groovy rnb pop rock music and felt oh-so-contented. Sigh (:

Most importantly though, i loved the company (: 8 years of friendship (: We have definitely had our share of Xi3 Nu4 Ai1 and Le4 (view photo from left up, down then right up and down again).

That's us with our matching cube earrings (: (wei Bee yours cant be seen!) Haha.

With that, i shall end my crazily long entry. Its 455am now and i havent slept since the night before! Oh ya, i probably cldnt sleep cause i was anxious about another trial session at another of my potential workplace. They actually called me back again for another position after i rejected the former one few weeks back. So now, i am most probably but not definitely going to have a proper Full-Time job. Real soon. Im scared :( and reluctant to give up my free time after 6months of holiday. But the company and position seems not bad so........... we'll see how it goes.

    Goodnight! (:

    it's 4:58 AM now
