I am currently wondering where my next phase of life will take me. I'm also a UK size 6 whom is perpetually late. I tend to procrastinate altho i dislike it. Im totally jaded about ulcers because of my favourite indulgence in junkfood. I love kids and all things small as midget-sized things are always adorable. So if you decide to like me amidst my weird quirks, i think i'll like you too (:

    review for Moveme.com

Time really flies, I know, how cliché right? It's been around 5 years since I moved into my house. I remember I hated moving due to the desire to keep things familiar… What's more, it was troublesome to change and move everything.

Our bigger furniture was moved by some company but the fragile and smaller ones were moved by... us! Yep, those who know me well would know that my dad and my uncles are all drivers for this company for many years so we kind of have our "own" bus at times. It was a school night and we moved our remaining furniture bit by bit onto the bus. When we were finally done (and stuffed in between the furniture), my dad got onto his driver's seat to get ready to set off to our new home... ... but the bus COULDNT start! I forgot what the problem was but I was told that the bus won’t be able to go and we had to wait for help to arrive in a short while. A short while turned to a loooong wait and my brother and I even fell asleep on the bus. I think the problem was settled hours later and i guess the only good thing was i got to skip school for the following day (: Haha. It was a wild but very tiring experience and it made me hate moving more. Sigh. If only (i thought), moving house could be done much easier!

5 years later now, i got to know about

like the logo suggests, Moveme.com helps make our moving easier and totally hassle free! It has even won awards such as the Yahoo Innovation Award and the Yahoo People's Choice Award!

In their own words, Moveme.com helps ease our moving by “thinking of everything we need to do so that we don’t have to, and then guide us through every step of the move process with help and advice, lists of suppliers and easy online quotes”. One of the FREE quotes that they provide (which would have solved my main moving problem) is the removal quotes . With these quotes, we would be able to find the best removal company to move our fragile possessions and not have to worry, thus end up moving them on our own (sound familiar :/). To make us feel assured, all the removal partners are fully licensed, insured and rated too. They will pack our goods for us, disassemble the large furniture prior to moving and even unpack/re-hang them in our new house! Just check out their removal companies!

Moveme.com also provides many other free quotes such as Man and Van, Solicitor, Utilities and Mortgage quotes. I think that another useful example would be the free Mortgage quotes . We simply need to fill in some details about our ideal home then moveme.com will send us the quotes that complement us. This way, we get to save time as well as get inexpensive low rates through them! Let’s say that we already have a good mortgage offer from others, we can still try out their quotes (they are free anyway) and see if moveme.com can offer a better rate! I feel that it’s always good to compare to know other alternatives as well as what is available to us. Don’t you do that for shopping sometimes too?

Aside from the free quotes, the company has many other services too. To lessen our headaches when moving house, they provide a Free Move Planner service so that we know clearly all the tasks we need to do before and during the move!

I think this is very useful especially for me because I’m so new to moving, I don’t even know where to start! In addition, those who aren't too great at planning need this, so that you would not start moving your things then realize you don’t have any daily necessities left at your current/old house! Haha. With their help, we could also set up other Home Services such as Gas & Electricity or Home Technology before we move over. Internet! Important right! I’m sure many of you would dread the thought of not having internet connection for days, what’s more, weeks if you are shifting! No more blogs, online shopping… …

If the site is SO good, how can it be totally free?! Yes it can, because the company earns a small fee for quoting their partners and furthermore, we get special discounts when we choose their partners! I think Moveme.com is a great and brilliant alternative to the old-fashioned way of planning/handling everything manually ourselves. Anyway, those perks that I mentioned are ones I find useful to me, you guys might find other services of theirs more useful so… check it out on your own!
