I am currently wondering where my next phase of life will take me. I'm also a UK size 6 whom is perpetually late. I tend to procrastinate altho i dislike it. Im totally jaded about ulcers because of my favourite indulgence in junkfood. I love kids and all things small as midget-sized things are always adorable. So if you decide to like me amidst my weird quirks, i think i'll like you too (:

    BINTAN part 1

    FINALLY! My Bintan post!!!

    Day 1:

On Wednesday 12thNovember2008, Baby and I went on our first short holiday together (just the 2 of us, unlike Taiwan!). My memories seem a bit hazy already but i'll try blog about whatever i remember ok (: Early morning, baby came over to meet me before we cabbed down to Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.

As usual, we were almost late! We had to run after we got down from the cab! I thought we'd miss our ferry for sure cause you're supposed to arrive like 45mins early somemore... The lady who collected our pass said "your ferry is here already, you need to go NOW." From there, we had to ruuunnnnn all the way down the long lanes to get to our ferry. We were one of the last to reach :x On board Aria Bupala (that's the name of the ferry -.-), i started to feel slightly queasy. I think i'm a bit seasick :( Thankfully, it was just a 1 hour ride so it wasn't that bad.

    Tadah! WELCOME TO BINTAN! :D

Love the tiki-tack thing (i don't really know what it's called). It's got such an island feel~

From here, we had to board another bus to get to our resort. Pretty soon, we got to Nirwana Resort Hotel!

Here's a quick look of our messy hotel room and view. Hehs.

Wheeeeeeeee! The first thing you do when you get to a hotel is, ... ... FLING YOURSELF ON THE BED!

But FatFat got to it first. Oh well. You get first try then. *shruggs*

I got 2nd and baby got 3rd. Tee-hee. WHAT?! I told you i went Bintan with my BF, FatFat and Tweety remember?! Apparently, Tweet was too small to even fling herself.

We got settled in and decided to go out for a walk. I actually planned to do some activities like water sports there but my lazybumboy wanted to just chill. I got influenced too so we spent our holiday just chilling (as you will see soon enough). Hehs.

This was the start of my routine camwhoring before we head out everytime:

We strolled around our resort and check out the lil booths which showed us the activities we could do. Victor got SO excited when he saw the Buggy Rental. It was SGD25 for an hour (or was it 45mins?). Geez. Most of the stuff were obviously overpriced to knock (qiao1) the tourists. We rented the buggy anyway cause baby was literally jumping up and down with excitement already. Haha. The man asked for his Driver's License. Duh, my bf is only like halfway into his bike lessons so we showed him the learning pass instead. Said he didn't bring his license. He rented it to us after we showed him a test drive. Aiya, think he would rent it to us, driver's pass or not... But, we need a pass to drive a BUGGY meh? Really?! *incredulous look* Maybe cause we really drive on the road with the buses and cars i guess. Hmm... Now that i think about it, it was kind of dangerous :x

There goes my very happy boyfriend on his Buggy for an hour. Hehs. Windy ride, nice scenary and a cute boy as my chauffeur, i've got no complains either! (:

We saw this quaint li'l place along the beach. It's actually a seafood restaurant. We put that into our list of options for places to dine at night, then drove on.

We stopped at this small hut which overlooks the beach (or rather, palm trees). Sigh~ such a nice view and break from civilisation.

Happy boyfriend showing you the scenary.

Happy girlfriend enjoying her junkfood. Hah. I was equipped with junkfood to last the whole trip okay! Many of my pictures when i go out actually include me holding a pack of munchies... LOL.

The over-drama girlfriend says, "BABY! DON"T DROP DOWN OKAY! Then nobody will bring FatFat and I home already!" ...

A heartbeat later, "Okay lah, i sit with you too."

We decided to drive down to the beach that looks really inviting! Yes, i do know that the weather wasn't very sunny but at least it was nice and cool and not rainning righttt-t.

Boyfriend with very messy windblown hair.

Girlfriend, totally windblown. I have no idea what i was doing. Love the seabreeze though!

Inscribed plus out feet, just like in Taiwan (:

Okay, what i can only remember for the first day was strolling around and feeling blissful. Haha. Varrooomm-roooommmm... ... (the buggy actually goes puutttt-puttttt more i think?)

We got to this li'l park that had crocodiles and funky animals in cages. At the bottom left of the picture, there's this huge bird that looks like a vulture lah. It's darn creepy! Especially when it flies around the cage with its wings wide open and making that loud noise. *Goosebumps* There were big fat snakes too, and way too many parrots. Didn't expect to see these here at all.

Both of us got tired driving the Buggy so FatFat took over! Phew. Isn't he adorable? :p He drove us back to our resort after the hour and we got changed to go swimming/tanning! Yippe! The weather finally cleared for the better so we grabbed the chance. Hehs.

Routine in my bikini and dress.

    Routine + boyfriend!

Here's the breathtaking pool! (This photo was taken on the following day actually when the weather was cool again) I simple ADORE the pool!!! The right side of the pool/picture leads to a li'l poolside bar! Meaning, you can swim over this little cove and sit on the stone bench with your wet butt. As your feet is still dangling in the water, you can order your mocktails, alcohol or fruits from the bartenders! You can just order the drinks and charge them to your room, no fuss!

There were a number of visitors there at the pool but it was not over-crowded. Just nice with us and other foreigners. Caucasians and some HongKong-ers. There was this super cute little boy in the baby pool with 2 aunties. He Totally looks like Victor when he was that age!!! Of course, we played with him and tried to converse with them a bit. Oh and subsequently thoughout the days, we saw him around the resort too. Hehs.

After swimming and tanning abit, we got back to our room to soak in the tub further. Haha. Then, it was time for dinner and all plans of travelling further to dine went out the window. Yep, we were that lazy. We settled on dinner at the restaurant downstairs. They serve Buffet style everyday but with a different theme each night.

I LOVEEE BUFFETS! This is when i can eat ze most! It was Western night!

I didnt manage to take many pictures of the food but they had a whole looong table filled with different delicacies. On the sides, they had a few counters with more food and chefs waiting for your order too! You tell them what you want, what sauce ectera and they cook it right in front of you. Oh ya, this was also the reason why we ate here. Baby came before and was won over with the meat from one of the counters!

He's not that good with Buffets though. He tend to take more rice and the serving of each dish was more than me so he got full easily in 2 rounds. Guys, sheesh (: Me, i take abit of everything and i can go round again and again! Fwahahaha!

My favourite part of Buffet is also the ...

Dessert!!! I was amazed by their wide array of dessert! From creme brulée to cakes and ice-cream, they seemed to have everything. I was so excited (by the time, baby was too stuffed and sleepy already) and just had to take a bit of each. Ya i know, GREEDY! So?

They had this sweet-icing-thing too... Don't know what is it called. Anyway, that was like my 3rd trip to the dessert area? Haha. After which, we finally vacant the place. I was stuffed to the brim too! I insisted that we have to take a walk around the resort at night because it would be oh-so-romantic and also 'cause we needed to digest. After a short walk and some gum later, we went back to our hotel.

We flung ourselves on the bed and watched some teevee. After which we crashed for the night in our comfy PJs (:

& That, was the end of Day 1. It took soooooooooooooo friggn' long for me to just extract and edit the pictures, upload them and finally blog about Day 1 okay! It is now 245am and i've got to wake up at 7am for Work. Zzzz. I'll blog about Bintan part 2 soon! (I will!)

Now i really got to catch some zZzs. Night world! *pulls the lamp switch*

    it's 2:40 AM now
